Good morning dear jury, our teams and guests. You’re welcome to the intellectual English contest "Brain – ring”. Our aim is to show students’ knowledge in English as well to widen cultural horizon and encourage students to get to know about the UK more.

Now I’d like to introduce our jury to you. The head of the jury is the vice- principal and a teacher of English Mrs. Shkorupska. The honorable members of the jury are:  the teachers of English Mrs. Gryshay and Mrs. Stanishevska. The gamers are the students of 7^th and 8^th forms. Two teams take part in this game: Englishmen and Scots. The game has got 4 rounds.

Topic of the lesson: Travelling

Students: learners of 6^th year of study in Ukrainian- speaking environment. There are 23 students in the class.

Setting: This is a public school. Students have English lessons 3 times a week.

Learning Objectives: by the end of the lesson the students are expected to be able to talk about different kinds of traveling, name its advantages and disadvantages.

Фойє школи прикрашене великими серцями на дверях та маленькими свічками, які горять на кожній сходинці. Дві учениці, одягнені в червоні сукні, капелюшки, з спеціальними сумочками  вітають всіх учнів англійською мовою та роздають «розбиті серця».

Thanksgiving Day

Мета:

• Розвиваюча: продовжити знайомство із звичаями та традиціями англомовних країн, розвивати навички самостійного пошуку та збору інформації.
• Виховна: розширити кругозір учнів про країну, мова якої вивчається, виховувати повагу до  зарубіжної культури.
