Brief description of the new idea and why chosen
 

The training covers classroom strategies how to motivate learners by reflecting on their needs from teachers and classes. It provides the opportunities for the participants to evaluate the effectiveness of motivational factors, such as rewards and punishment, and autonomy in the classroom.

Learning outcome

By the end of the session the participants  will be able to

• identify what learners need from teachers and classes in order to be motivated
• evaluate the effectiveness of rewards and punishments, and autonomy in the classroom
• generate activities based on a range of motivational factors
